Meet the Animals

Girlfriend is a 27 year old Standardbred.  She came to us in 2019.  She is quite old and has a lot of health conditions but she is still head of our herd.  

Sadly we lost Girlfriend in January of 2026- the day before her gotcha day.  She left a big hole in our herd and hearts.  She taught me so much and I will cherish her place in my life.  RIP baby girl.

Beau is last to come to us but next in age.  He is 26 years old and an Arabian-Paint cross.  He is the sweetest soul you will ever meet and lowest in herd hierchy.

We are so sad we had to say goodbye on July 30, 2026 to our Beau-tiful Beau.  He touched a lot of lives and will be missed tremendously.  RIP sweet boy.

Joy is a Paso Fino mare and approximately 20 years old.  She was extremely traumatized when she came to us after years of abuse.  We are working on building trust and going at her pace.

Vance was the first horse we got.  He is approximately 15 years old and thinks he is a puppy.  He is a quarter pony and loves to be close to you.  

Wynn is a standard jenny (girl) and was being auctioned off at a livestock exchange.  We don't know what her fate would have been - but possibly not great.  We think she is approx 15 years old.  Wynn is very sweet but is a bit of a loner.  She loves to hang out by herself in the woods.  Unless there are treats.

Barney came to us from our farrier and is the only equine that was not a rescue.  He is the resident ham and greets all who come with love and a little bit of attitude.  He is a mini jack and loves to show off.

I have a variety of chickens and roosters here, including BB who had a personal support chair because he couldn't walk.  Unfortuantely BB passed away but he will forever be missed.  The hens are not rescues but they are spoiled and they get to stay even when they are finished laying.  

I have 7 Pekin ducks, 4 of which I hatched a couple years ago.  Sometimes they are separated and sometimes they get to all hang out together.
